Mountain Tanks ist ein Spiel, in dem du deine Waffe wählst, sorgfältig zielst und die Stadt deines Gegners in den Dreck stampfst!

Mountain Tanks versetzt dich in den Sitz des Schützen eines mächtigen Panzers, dem alleinigen Verteidiger einer umkämpften Stadt, mit einer Auswahl an zerstörerischen und defensiven Waffen zu deiner Verfügung. Im Wechselspiel mit menschlichen oder computerkontrollierten Gegnern musst du darauf abzielen, maximalen Schaden anzurichten und deine Feinde zu besiegen, bevor sie dasselbe mit dir tun!

Neben ballistischen Raketen hast du abprallende Granaten, um in diese kniffligen Ecken zu feuern, und Rohrmacher, um tödliche Hochexplosivbehälter ins Herz der feindlichen Städte zu bringen. Und wenn du das Ziel bist, kannst du Rauchschwaden und Wandmacher einsetzen, um deine Bürger vor dem Hagel des eingehenden Feuers zu schützen.

Mountain Tanks is a lot of fun. I find it easier to fine-aim using the IR remote control and Mira than using the stock Apple keyboard too. One big question tho: I've been running it on Leopard for years and this update says 10.6.6 or later. Will this and any future updates no longer work for me since I'm at 10.5.8? Thanks for any info.

Really fun game! While I'd like it to have more weapons and higher quality graphics, it's been great to play. Also, the music goes really well with the setting.

Great fun game!! Great background music; this is the only game I can play without turning off the music. A great addition to the game would be an option to view the game as a realistic 3D environment, blue sky, clouds, concrete buildings, metal tanks, grass etc... Great way to spend a little time blowing off steam!

After playing Mountain Tanks for a while, I have thought of a few ways to add some variety and challenges to the game. For instance by having a game mode where the player only has access to unlimited bombs rather than rockets. This would mean having to work out the angle of the ground in front of the target as well as the time delay on the fuse. Another suggestion would be to have games where either the elevation of the turret is fixed, or the power is fixed. Also, when a players tank is hit, it might be an idea to make a random type of ammunition unavailable to that player for the following round. As a final suggestion. How about a map where the only light that is available, is the light from explosions or flares that the players themselves have to fire?

I first downloaded the demo and noticed that it played quite slowly for me, but was still a lot of fun. So I decided to make the purchase. To my sheer delight the game was not as clunky as the demo and the Firing Range really helped me to figure out new ways of winning (ie, the Grenades when lofted on a high trajecotry and allowing for the bounce are a great weapon as is the Barrel Maker). The three things that would make this a better game and a better value would be to have more weapons, choice of soundtrack and maybe better graphics. Other than that you can chew up a lot of time blowing things up!! Great game.
